David Kent Anderson

David Kent Anderson, age 56, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019.  He was born on March 18, 1963 to Blane Anderson and Donna Hancock Caraway. David was a loving son and brother that was full of life.  He was artistic and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and singing, also cooking.    

David was preceded in death by his father, Blane Anderson; brother, Kyle Anderson; grandparents, Buster and Jean Hancock, Elbert and Nina Anderson; brother-in-law, Rickey Smith.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Caraway of Mount Vernon, TX; brother, Kerry Whitaker and his wife Julie of Mount Pleasant, TX; brother-in-law, Bron Carr of Mount Vernon, TX; sisters, Kim Smith of Cookville, TX, Donette King and husband Dennis of Gladewater, TX, Cherilyn Caraway of Carthage, TX, Sherri Pack and husband Billy of Kilgore, TX, and Laquitta Franklin and husband Brian of Coldspring, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Sam B Harvey Funeral Home Chapel, Mt. Vernon, TX.  Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 pm officiated by Bro. Tommy Earl Burton. Pallbearers will be Kerry Whitaker, Bron Carr, Chase Carr, James Ray Raleigh, Sonny Rogers and Shallidin Messer .  Interment will be at Lake Creek Cemetery, Cooper, Texas.
