G.B. Hendrix Obituary

GB "Bud" Hendrix passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the age of 86. He died of natural causes and leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Jean Witte Hendrix. He is also survived by his four sons and their wives; Gary and Judy Hendrix, Terry and Venetta Hendrix, Michael and Lori Hendrix, and Richard and Carol Hendrix; and two brothers, Rex Hendrix and Mac Hendrix.
Bud was born February 8, 1933 to the late Buman and Letha Hendrix, raised and remained a resident of Mt. Vernon for most of his life except when he traveled and worked for the Air Force and also for the FAA for a period of about 40 years. He will be greatly missed by his 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His wonderful skills in carpentry, auto mechanics, electronics, wild animal care and farming were assets that everyone admired and as such he was a great mentor for all. 
Funeral Services will be held at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3 p.m. followed by a short ceremony at the gravesite at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.
