Linda Burnett Trantham

Funeral Services for Linda Trantham will be Sunday, January 26, 2020, 2:00 P.M. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service 1:00 - 2:00.

Linda Burnett Trantham, 79, went home to be with her Jesus, and reunited with the love of her life on Thursday, January 23, 2020.  She was a proud resident of Mount Vernon, Texas.

Linda was born on August 15, 1940 to Chat Burnett and Lorene Bowie Burnett in Kilgore, Texas. Linda married Kenneth Trantham, Sr. on March 15, 1957 and they were married for 47 years. She loved to read, loved all kinds of flowers, and she was one of greatest mothers on earth to her family.  She had a servant’s heart and could tell when others were down and needed encouragement.  Linda was known  to her family and friends as “Granny” and introduced herself as “Granny” to everyone.   Her grandkids loved when she made her famous biscuits and gravy for them. She was a member of the Church of Christ Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chat and Lorene Burnett; her husband, Kenneth Trantham, Sr.; Brother, Jack Burnett; Sister, Mary Jo Solomon.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are sons, Jimmy Trantham and wife Donna of Mount Vernon, TX, Kenneth Trantham, Jr., and wife Donna of Mount Vernon, TX, Roger Trantham, Robert Trantham and wife Denise of Mount Vernon, TX, Ronny Trantham and wife Cheri of Mount Vernon, TX; Daughter, Linda Key and husband Danny of Mount Pleasant, TX, Sister, Ginger Rhoades of Mount Vernon, TX.  Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
