Nancy L Skidmore

Nancy Hampton Skidmore, 67, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019. She was born on Tuesday, January 22, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Henry and Georgianna Pate Carpenter.
She is preceded in death by her first husband the late Robert "Bob" Hampton and her second husband the late Gerald Kent Skidmore; sisters, Margaret Welsh and Cathy Carpenter.
Nancy honorably served in the U.S Army. She enjoyed watching television especially her favorite show Dancing with the Stars. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters Bobbie Jo Hampton Call and Bobbie Jane Hampton Kelly both of Mount Vernon, Texas; two brothers, Orval  Carpenter of Mount Vernon, Texas and Henry Carpenter of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Nedra Carnes of Mount Vernon, Texas; two grandchildren, Brandon Hampton and Ashley Nicole Call.
Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2019 at Providence Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Texas at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contribution be made to any charity of one's choice or to the American Kidney Fund at KIDNEYFUND.ORG or call 1800-638-8299.
