Bonnie Jean (Nash) Thomas, age 64, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away Wednesday evening, May 20, 2026, in Tyler, Texas.
Bonnie was born on December 16, 1961, in Tyler, Texas, to Cecil Columbus Nash and Ida Sue (Cook) Nash.
She married Anthony “Tony” Thomas in September 1982. Bonnie was a talented musician who could play nearly any instrument she picked up. She was a faithful member of Arp First Baptist Church.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Daniel Thomas and wife Krysten; grandchildren, Lilly Blanton and Maddie Blanton; sister, Marty McDougal; brothers-in-law, Robert Wall and Johnny Thomas (Lori); sister-in-law, Rhonda Dark; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Tony Thomas; her parents, Cecil and Sue Nash; her sister, Susan Wall; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Dark and Mark McDougal.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, May 24, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cottle Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Arp First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rucker Cemetery with Pastor Mike Rice officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Chance Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Omar Marroquin, Beau Bentley, Craig Nash, and Joe Dubose. Honorary Pall-bearer is Seth Beach.
