Brenda Lynette Cash

Brenda Lynette Cash, age 66, of Royse City Texas passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall Texas.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon Texas.  Visitation will be on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 11:00am.  Pastor David Barnes of High Point Assembly of God Church in Royse City along with Fred Cooper will be officiating the service.  Interment will be at  Hagansport Cemetery in Hagansport Texas.

Brenda was born on July 8, 1954 in Mena, Arkansas.  Her parents were Claire F. Smith and Betty L. Smith.  Brenda had one sister and two brothers.

Brenda married Glynn Wayne Cash, her husband of 47 years, on September 15, 1973 in Dallas Texas. She majored as a paralegal and had multiple degrees such as Associate of Applied Science at El Centro College. She then went on to The University Of Texas At Dallas and earned her bachelor’s degree in the Arts Of American Studies. Brenda had several employment positions throughout her working career and her latest was the position of Paralegal at a family law firm in Dallas Texas. She held the position until 2006. She was a member of the High Point Assembly of God in Royse City and was also involved in a women’s ministry called God’s Porch where she played the piano and led worship.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Betty Smith, her brother, Terry Smith and her sister Marla Slough.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Glynn Cash, her son Jarod Cash and his wife Lisa Cash of Royse City, her son Brent Cash and his fiance Ashley Dunn of Royse City, her three grandchildren; Kaitlyn Cash of Royse City, Katlyn Merrick of Wylie, Justin Merrick of Royse City and her brother Wesley Smith and his wife Faye Smith of Greenville.
