Velencia Caniesha Donette Evans, of Pittsburg, Texas, unexpectedly went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Monroe officiating. Pallbearers will be Cory Armour, Billy Williams, Rocky Davis, Quadrius Evans, Aquarivian Evans, Austin Fulmer, Mitch Evans, and Preston Fountain. Honorary Pallbearers are Shannon Deloney, Christopher Dunlap, Antuane Stevens, Freddie Monroe, Otis Justin Evans, III, Otis Justin Tyrell Evans, IV. Interment will be at the Denton (Evans-Dunlap) Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
Caneisha was born on May 26, 1981, in Franklin County, Texas to Otis Evans, Jr. and Jacqueline (Stevens) Evans.
She went to school in Mount Vernon and then took her basic studies at North Texas Community College where she received a business degree. Caneisha worked at Mission Manor Nursing Home for 20 years and for the Pittsburg Hospital in the dietary department. She also worked for Nancy’s Caring Hands as a caregiver. She had a smile that would light up the room and her personality was like none other. Her children were her world and she loved them with her entire being. Caneisha was called “Tootie” by cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Jackie Evans; a sister, Jacquita Nicole Evans; grandparents, Otis Sr. and Barbara Evans and Joseph and Dessie Lee (Coverson) Stevens.
Survivors that will forever cherish her memory; her daughters, Valencia Janeisha Monette Armour (Angel) and Ta’Myrra Ja’Mae Nycole Williams; her brother, Otis Justin Evans, III; her sister, Tammy Rogers; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, 3 Nieces, 1 Nephew, 2 Great-Nieces, 1 Great-Nephew, 2 special sister in laws, LeKayla and Miranda; and extended family and friends.
