Carl was born to Carlton and Jabie “Heath” Newsome on October 17, 1939 in Mount Vernon, Texas.  While serving in the US Air Force in Aviano, Italy he met and ultimately married his beautiful wife Cecilia Mantegani on June 18, 1967 in Vittorio Veneto, Italy.  Carl motivated by his Christian faith, modeled by his parents and family, lived to serve.  Carl loved serving colleagues during his 26 years with the U.S. Air Force Reserve Civil Engineering community.  Carl loved serving clients in his private Civil Engineering and Real Estate company he started. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony Newsome; older sister, Olyarie Drummond and her husband, Keith Drummond; younger sister, Janet McClung; sister-in-law, Elvi Mantegani; sister-in-law, Francesca Mantegani.
