Cary Edward Nickolson

Cary Edward Nickolson, age 60 of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away suddenly, Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Gilmer, Texas.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Pepper Puryear officiating.

Cary was born to Henry T. and Brenda L. Marshall Nickolson on May 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.

He worked with his brother, Jeff, and was a music guru.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Brenda L. Sprayberry; his children, Tarrin Nickolson-Zubiate and fiancé Donavan McMillan, Christopher and wife, Zandren Nickolson, Benjamin and husband, Colton Nickolson-Bloom, Kaitlin Wells; grandchildren, Rylan Nickolson, Richard Zubiate IV, Austin Zubiate, and Daniel Zubiate; siblings, Julie Rosewell, Jeffrey and wife, Katrina Nickolson; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Cary was preceded in death by his stepfather, Benny Sprayberry.
