Mr. Charles Edward Mericle, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 in Greenville, Texas.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Sam B Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Garry Jordan will be officiating. Interment will be at Providence Cemetery.
Charles was born to August 8, 1930 to Isaac Charles and Mary (Hollister) Mericle in Hornell, New York. He married Dana Williams on March 6, 1977 in Austin, Texas. Charles was a member of the American Legion of Mount Vernon and the VFW of Sulphur Springs. He served in the United States Navy, Army, and Airforce and retired from the Airforce in 1970.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dana Mericle of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sons, Dan Mericle of Rockville, Virginia, Brian Mericle of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Cynthia Villnueva of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Joey Prichard of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Von Eva Prichard of Winton, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
