Courtney & Christy Jackson

Courtney Lee and Christy Diane Jackson, was born prematurely at 22 weeks, to Christal McConnell, in Dallas, Texas, on March 11, 2025, and together they have touched the hearts of our community and around the world.

Courtney was born weighing 1 pound and 5 ounces and passed away on March 20, 2025.

Christy was born weighing 14 ounces. She continued to fight hard despite her small lungs. She passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Survivors include their mother, Christal McConnell; brother, Mikel McConnell; aunts and uncles, Courtney and Cody Bean, Heather and Kyle Locke; Gabriel and Sullivan Montoya, and Josh Malone; grandparents, Andrew and Marjorie Jackson; first cousins, Denver Bean, Delayna Bean, Kinzley Bogue, Elaine Malone, Andrew McNutt, Tucker Mize, Charles Malone, and Lucian Malone.

Though their time on earth was brief, Christy and Courtney were fearfully and wonderfully made, knit together by the hands of a loving Creator (Psalm 139:13-14). The Lord welcomed Courtney into His arms just days after her birth and then Christy, a few months later. They were held continuously in His mercy and grace throughout their lives and will continue to be held in his kingdom. These precious girls were not with us long, but their lives were not without purpose. Their presence brought light, love, and a deep reminder that even the smallest souls can leave the largest imprint. We trust the One who holds both our sorrow and our hope, knowing He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit -Psalm 34:18. Until we are reunited in glory, we rest in the promise that He gently carries His lambs close to His heart – Isaiah 40:11.

A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 30, 2025, at the Gathering Church - 406 TX 37 - Mount Vernon, TX - at 2:00 p.m. with Richard Cox officiating.
