Obituary
David Roy Parchman, age 67, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home.
A private burial was held at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Pepper Puryear officiating.
David was born on September 6, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to J.D. “Jerry David” Parchman and Sarah Lou (Williams) Parchman. He worked and retired from Lone Star Steel. He loved to watch TV and loved his dogs. David was named Mr. Mt. Vernon in high school.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jerrie Sue Parchman.
David is survived by his brother, Coy Parchman and his wife, Debra of Mt. Pleasant, TX; nephew and their spouses, John and Ann Parchman, Jeff and Jamie Parchman. Great nieces, Iris Parchman, Jessie Parchman and Jadee Parchman. uncle, Grady Williams; aunts, Charlene Palmer, Mary Morris, Vickie Barnes, Diane Quall and numerous cousins. Close friends, Scott Stinson, Sidney Hicks, Keith Justice, Mark Wilcox, Greg Gamblin, Tim Merrill, Don Chance, James Jordan, and Dennis Jordan.
