Dorothy Jean Harper

Dorothy Jean Harper, age 87, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Graveside services will be on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery at 2:00 with John Hicks officiating.

Dorothy was born on October 8, 1934 to Argus and Clemmie (Jackson) Harper. She was a retired schoolteacher and worked at the Glen Park elementary for over thirty-five years. She was a member of the Poly Methodist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dorothy loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Harper, Billy Harper, Wiley Roberts, Jr and Howard Harper; sister, Martha Underwood; cousins, R.M. and Betty Jane Harper, Shelby and Dixie Harper.

Dorothy is survived by two sisters-in-law, Rae Harper and Adeline Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
