Dorothy Nell (Knight) Weaver, age 92, of the Needmore Community, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Dorothy was born on May 5, 1933, in Hopkins County, Texas, to Grady and Lodie (Harbour) Knight.
She married the love of her life, Sammy D. Weaver, on April 18, 1950.
She dedicated many years as the Office Manager at Mission Manor Nursing Home, where her kindness, professionalism, and steady presence made a lasting impact on all who worked with her. At home, she found joy in tending her beloved roses and camellias flowers that reflected the grace and beauty she carried in her heart. A faithful servant of God, she was a devoted Christian and proud 70-year member of Lake Chapel House of Prayer. Known as a true prayer warrior, she spent her life lifting others up, offering love, strength, and unwavering faith to everyone around her.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy D. Weaver; her parents, Grady and Lodie Knight; her brother, Jack Dempsey Knight.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Sammy G. (Elaine) Weaver, Shonda (Randy) Norton; her grandchildren, Cody (Jill) Weaver, Kenny (Tifni) Norton, Jason (Molly) Norton, Jennifer (Randal) McQueen, Dale Watson, Shannon Watson, and Cody Watson; great-granddaughter, Jaylee Weaver; and a host of friends and extended family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5 :00-7:00 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10:00 am at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Hood officiating. Pallbearers will be Jace Cooper, Cooper Williams, Brent McClendon, Jeff Rorie, Jody Stanley, and Shane Stanley. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
