Edward Wayne Pamplin, age 76, of Talco, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior that he loved so much on Friday, February 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
There will be a meal at the Hagansport Community Center on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5:00-6:30 and A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:30 p.m.
Ed was born in Mena, Arkansas on August 26, 1947, to Alfred Austin and Clara Belle (Cary) Pamplin. He married Laurel Jean Gdaintz on March 22, 1969 in Albany, Georgia. Ed went to high school in Arlington, Texas. He worked for Pacific Southwest Airlines (he used his artistic skills and designed one of their logos) in Oakland, California, WD Trucking Company in DeQueen, Arkansas and retired from Texas Utilities – Luminant. Ed served in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed playing golf and going hunting. Ed was a member of the Pittsburg Bible Study, Old Coal Miners, and Old Car Mechanics.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Clara Pamplin; and a son, Jason Pamplin.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Pamplin of Talco, TX; his daughter, Anissa Grounds of Mount Vernon, TX, sons, Justin Pamplin and Julia LaBella of Mount Vernon, TX and Jeremy Pamplin of Lindale, TX. Grandchildren, Jacob and Sierra Grounds of Tulsa, OK, Samuel Grounds of Nacogdoches, TX; brother, Larry Pamplin of Parker, FL; sister, Sharon Cohen of Albuquerque, NM. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
