Fred Willis House went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2022 at the age of 85 in Oxley, Arkansas from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born in Mt Vernon, Texas to Thomas Jefferson House and Mary Lee Talley House March 4, 1937.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Wesley House, sister Dorothy Ann Frost, daughter Debra Ann Miller, grandson Bobby Dlabah.
He is survived by his wife Alva Ann of 62 years, sons Alan Robbins & wife Rose of Midlothian, Texas and Doug House & wife Janet of Oxley, Arkansas, two daughters Pattie Smart & husband Chip of Duncanville, Texas and Carolyn Taunton & husband Dean of McKinney, Texas, sister Frances Nelson of DeSoto, Texas , brother-in-law Milton Parker & wife Pat of Rockwall, Texas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all in the North Texas area.
Fred worked as a mail carrier for the Dallas Independent School District for 36 years until his retirement in 2000. He loved to preach and loved being around his family. He and Ann loved to travel by car to different places. They enjoyed collecting rocks from different states. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 23rd 10am to 12pm. Services will March 23 at 2pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral home in Mt Vernon, Texas. He will be buried in the family cemetery, Collier’s Chapel Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Texas
