Gary Lynn Capps, age 63, of Athens, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Tyler, Texas.

Graveside services will be on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Macon Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Gary was born in Dallas, Texas on April 10, 1957 to Venita “Waymire” and Billy Van Capps.  He Married Donna Hutchings on September 1, 2007 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Gary was a mechanic by trade.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William A. Capps.

Gary is survived by his wife of 13 years, Donna Capps; daughters, Amanda Shelton of Texas, Brandi Clemente of Albany, Louisiana, Brittany Kennedy and husband, Austin of Antonito, Colorado; son, Brian Capps of Lindale, Texas; step-sons, Jason Bradley and wife Melissa of Allen, Texas, C.J. Cramer of Leesburg, Ohio; step-daughters, Amanda Chapman and husband Jared of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Chassity Matynka and husband Anthony of Leesburg, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Jana Capps of Mt. Vernon, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Vanessa and Lancho Lara of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Alva Jo and Juan Dominguez of Avinger, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
