To all of us, she was home – not a place, but a feeling of safety, warmth, and unconditional love. She was Nana, but she was also more than that. She rocked up, sang to us, and made the world feel softer when it felt too heavy. She lived by the words “I love you to the moon and back,” and she proved that love through open arms and a full table. Nana cooked big meals and fed everyone, not only her own family but the children of the neighborhood as well. No one ever left her home hungry, and no one ever left without feeling seen and loved. She wasn’t just my Nana- she became Nana to so many, a steady, motherly presence to anyone who needed comfort, guidance, or a place to belong. God gave her a servant’s heart, and she lived that calling fully, loving selflessly and without limits. Through her earthly journey has ended, we believe she is at peace in Heaven, whole and watching over us. Her love did not leave with her; it lives on in each of us, in our memories, our prayers, and the way we love others because of her.
