Gerald Don Cox, age 87, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Gerald was born to T. Lewis and Arlee (Stevens) Cox on November 3, 1937, in Talco, Texas. He married Barbara Stinson on his birthday in 1957. Gerald was a member of Franklin County Coon Hunting and a board member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Cox; and a grandchild, Jarrod Herrera.
Gerald will forever be remembered by his children and their spouses, daughter, Vicki and Donny Sena; his sons, Derrell and Brenda Cox and Dean and Tammie Cox. Grandchildren and their spouses, Miachel Herrera, Crystal and Eric Moody, Trae and Julie Sims, Wayne and Amanda Cox, Sheree Cox, Cody and Heather Cox, Tricia Cox, Chloe and Tanner Kimball. His great grandchildren, Alexis Moody, Marco Moody, Jayden Cox, Keller Cox, Kasie Goggans, Kane Goggans, Max Gillean, Kaidence Tippit, Kyler Cox, Kooper Cox, and Harleigh Kimball; sister, Bobbie Jones.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Harmony Cemetery Chapel, at CR 2397, in Winnsboro, Texas.
