Ginger Lorayne Rhoades, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Mount Vernon, Texas.
Ginger was born on January 12, 1937, in Gregg County, Texas to Chat Channing and Lorayne Pearl (Bowie) Burnett. She worked many years at the Carlton Factory in Mount Vernon. Ginger was a member of the Church of Christ church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chat and Lorayne Burnett; a son, Donald Eugene Rhoades, Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Winter Whitfield; siblings, Linda Trantham, Jack Burnett, and Mary Jo Solomon.
Survivors include her daughter, Dyanne Lorayne Herrera and her husband Pedro; grandchildren, Megan Rhoades, Ayla (Brian) Whitfield, Amanda (Harold) Carroll, Ariel Rhoades, Hunter Rhoades; daughter-in-law, Linda Rhoades; great grandchildren, Elainah Simpson, Jay Simpson, Ayden Simpson, Emma Whitfield, and Cordell Carroll. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Graveside Service will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Weaver Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Berger officiating. Serving as pallbearers: Harold Carroll, Cordell Carroll, Ayden Simpson, Pedro Herrera, Brian Whitfield, Jeremy Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Trantham, Jimmy Trantham, Ronny Trantham, Ken Trantham, Roger Trantham, and Jimmy Trantham, Jr.
