Mr. Glen Ray Fowler, age 88, of Ft. Worth, Texas passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020
There will be a Come and Go Visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Christenberry, Rocky Christenberry, Danny Hightower, Steve Fowler, Dennis Fowler, and Larry Fowler. Honorary Pallbearers will be the great grandsons.
Glen was born on December 18, 1931 to Albert and Lela Belle (Brent) Fowler in Grapeland, Texas. He was married to Marie Elizabeth Lumpkins on September 8, 1956 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Glen was a fence builder by trade and built and owned his own construction company. He built and owned two RV parks. Glen built and operated the “Queen Maria” riverboat. He was in the Navy and he was on the transport ship (USS Butner). Glen was part of the Seabees. He also formed Hopewell Rangers to help young boys. Glen was a deacon at the Macon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Glen is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Marie Fowler; sons, Floyd Wayne Fowler and wife Kelly of Mt. Vernon, TX and Arlon Ray Fowler and wife Kate of Emory, TX; grandchildren, Danna and Rob Sneed, Brandi and Ryan Teague, Chasity and Ronnie Myers, Brett and Christine Fowler, Chance Gamble, Chelsea and Levi Lott, Connor Craven, Hunter Keener, Trevor and Brandi Keener and nine great grandchildren.
