Gregory Russell Walker

Gregory Russell  Walker, age 62 of Mount Pleasant, Texas, (formerly of Dallas and Sunnyvale, Texas),  passed away on September 30, 2024.

Greg was born January 11, 1962, in Verdun France, one of the triplets to Robert Donald and Peggy Jane (Woods) Walker.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Don Walker; his stepfather, L.A. Murr; a sister and her husband, Karen and Gary Hendley; and a brother, Bill Murr.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Chase Walker; his mother, Peggy Murr; his siblings and their spouses, Rhonda (Rev. Ronnie) Lawson, Marian (Randy) Ray, Eddie (Tamaica) Walker, Dr. Michael (Julie) Walker, June (Tommy) Nichols, Ann Murr Thomas, Mary (Kevin) Selfridge; a sister-in-law, Patti Murr; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Greg grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a graduate of W.W. Samuell High School in 1980. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and  a Masters degree from East Texas State University. Greg was a member of First Baptist Church in Sunnyvale.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Sunnyvale, Texas.
