Homer Ree Fuller, age 89, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Mount Vernon.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home and the funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bruce Blackstone and Bill Pepper officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Stark, Andrew Crittendon, Kevin Crittendon, Daryl Carr, David Friddle, and David Sparks. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Johnson.
Ree was born on June 8, 1934, in Greenwood Community in Hopkins County, Texas to Homer Nelson and Gertrude (Castle) Fuller. He married Jeffie Nell on October 18, 1952, in DeQueen, Arkansas. Ree worked as an electrician and was a member of Purley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Fuller; parents, Homer & Gertude Fuller; grandson, Joshua Dean Lee; sisters, Faye, Wanda, and Carol; brother, William Fuller.
Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Jeffie Fuller of Mount Vernon; daughter, Laura & Bill Lee; son, Jeff and Karen Fuller; grandchildren, Andrew and Kevin Crittendon, Alyssa Fuller, and Ashlyn Fuller. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
