Iva Jennings Obituary

With faith in God and love in her heart, Iva Lee, 89, was called home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Known by many names—Mom, Momma, Mammaw, Sis, Aunt Sissy, Wife, and Friend—she was a beacon of love and faith, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Iva dedicated her life to serving others, always walking in faith and lifting those around her with strong prayers and acts of kindness. She gave selflessly to her family and community, embodying the values of compassion and generosity in all she did.

She is survived by her loving children: Marie & Donnie Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Telisa & Albert Newman of Winnsboro, TX; and John & Carmen Knotts of Corinth, TX. She also leaves behind three stepchildren: Judy Jennings Spray of Dallas, TX; Cheryl Jennings of Dallas, TX; and Robert F. Jennings, Jr. & Jaclyn of San Diego, CA.

Her greatest joy was her family, which included eight grandchildren and four step-grandchildren: Brad & Erin Thomas, Jill & Ryan Mahan, Wendy & Julio Ramirez, Dustin & Keri French, Whitney French, Reaghan Knotts, Sydney Knotts, Kyndall Knotts, James Maston, Rachel Pfeifer, Michael Maston, and Sarah Jennings. She was blessed with 17 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn & Tanner Luck, Alyson Thomas, Brady Thomas, Matthew & Tori Mahan, Jackson Mahan, Owen Mahan, Julian & Lupita Ramirez, Adrian Ramirez, Jaden Ramirez, Luna Ramirez, Kaden French, Koltin French, Autumn Maston, Zane Pfeifer, Zevin Pfeifer, Zayden Pfeifer, and Adison Jennings.

She is also survived by her beloved sister, Reba Dee & David Hood of Crosby, TX.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Ragan and Madgie Lee Grubbs Ragan; her son, Robbie G. Knotts, Jr.; her first husband, Robbie G. Knotts; and her second husband, Robert F. Jennings.

Iva’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, boundless love, and dedication to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith that will continue to shine through her family and all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be dearly missed, her spirit will live on, guiding and inspiring her loved ones through the values she instilled, the prayers she lifted, and the love she so generously shared.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pablo Guzman officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Dustin French, Brad Thomas, Ryan Mahan, Adrian Ramirez, Julian Ramirez, and Tanner Luck. Interment will be at Cypress Cemetery.
