She was kind and friendly, but always spoke her mind. Jackie said the person that influenced her the most was her Aunt Pauline Hargraves.

Jackie lived in the Mount Vernon House Assisted Living for several years and was a member of the Resident Council. She loved playing games, which included 42, left, center, right, and assisted in Bingo. Jackie also enjoyed making crafts and arts. She had so much fun performing with a group of residents in the talent show that was sponsored by Lowes Distribution as a fund raiser. The Mount Vernon House staff and especially SuFran Bass always made living there so much fun.

The family wants to give a special thank you to the Mount Vernon House: Dr. Jean and Marie Latortue, Marlo Moore, SuFran Bass, Diane Newsom, Cookie Dorsey, and all the staff for the wonderful care they gave to Jackie over the years.
