James Michael “Mike” Losey of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his residence.
He was well known for his work at Wal-Mart in Mount Pleasant and worked until his retirement.
Mike was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on October 10, 1953, to James Albert and Nola Elizabeth “Crews” Losey whom have preceded him in death respectively.
Mike was a beloved son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He was always welcomed with a smile when he would pay a visit to family. Nieces and nephews loved a visit from Uncle Mike because he was so “cool” when he would often show up on his Harley. Mike loved to work with his hands and was never wanting for any projects. Mike decided it was time to travel in his later years and would often take off to the mountains in Colorado. Mike will be sorely missed by those that loved and knew him well. He was not a “talker” and he did not care to socialize much. However, he was always ready to help those that needed it.
Mike is survived by his siblings, Carl Edward (Melinda) Losey of Arkansas, Patti Ann Nichols of Waco, Carol Davis of Mount Vernon, and John Allen (Janet) Losey of Mount Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Sarah Losey, Timothy Gonzales, Matthew Gonzales, Jimmy (Latisha) Moss, Jennifer Starek, Amy Beecham, Katherine (Justin) Koder, Sherman Losey, Levi Losey, Bradly Butler and Jesslin Butler; uncles, William Edward Crews, Jr. and Joe Crews (both of Weatherford, TX); and numerous cousins and extended family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
