Jerry Dale "Catfish" Divin

Jerry Dale “Catfish” Divin, age 51, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his home.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 1:00 -2:00 pm.  The Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Divin, Tony Divin, Joshua Divin, John McCroan, Tony Rowbotham and Scott Rowbotham.  Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Jerry was born on March 1, 1969 to Jerry and Sandra “Mathis” Divin in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a general contractor and had a love for fishing. He was known to fix anything he could for anyone.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Divin; grandparents, Bob and Edna Mathis, and Louis and Millie Divin; Uncles, Robert Black, Bobby Mathis, and J.W. Mathis.

Jerry is survived by his parents, Jerry and Sandra Divin of Mount Vernon, TX; Dan and Sandra “Granny” Cook of Garland, TX; brother, Bobby Divin and wife, Kerry, and kids Colby, Carly and Casey of Frisco, TX; nephews, Michael Divin, Tony Divin, and Joshua Divin all of Mt. Vernon, TX; Uncle, Marvin Mathis of Mount Vernon, Texas; Aunt, Patsy Black of Lucas, TX, and numerous extended family members.
