Jo Lane Purdon Wright

Jo Lane Purdon Wright, age 80, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in Tyler, Texas

Jo Lane was born on March 27, 1943, to Jake and Helen Jo (Thomas) Purdon in Frankin County, Texas. She married Douglas Hargrove Wright on June 7, 1974, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.  Jo Lane worked as a beautician for 40 years. She loved working in her yard and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Helen Purdon; an infant son, John Douglas Wright.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Douglas Wright; her son, Doug Wright, II and wife Melinda; daughter, Danielle Laird and husband, Rustin; grandchildren, Kai, Leven, Maggie; brother, Danny Purdon and wife Brenda; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A Visitation Memorial will be held at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel on November 16, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.
