Joanna Chlorene Ussery White Earl, age 86, of Scroggins, Texas passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon with Craig Clark officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis White, Chase White, Andrew White, Steven White, Mark White, David White, and Timothy White. Interment will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Fraternal Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born on September 23, 1935 in Quitman, Arkansas to Joseph Henry and Hettie Vivian (Sanders) Ussery. Joanna was a school teacher and a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association, the Shakespeare Club, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt.Vernon, Texas. She loved to play cards and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Charles White, Jr., brother, James Ussery and her parents.
Joanna is survived by her husband of 25 years, Harry Seymour Earl; sons, David (Janice) White III, Mark Steven (Carolyn) White and Timothy Ussery White; grandchildren, David Charles (Sarah) White IV, Katherine Louise (Adam) Knowles, Andrew Michael White, Steven Joseph White, and Travis Dale White; great grandchildren, Audelia White, Thane White, and Boden White.
Stepchildren, James Jacob Earl, Harry Seymour Earl, MD., Elizabeth Ann (Robert) Hillery, Rebecca Marie (Danny) Watson and Michelle Kay (William) Holloway; step-grandchildren, Adrienne Claire (Matthew) Gaziano, Rachel Nicole Hillery (Christopher Stumm), Mary Beth (Greg) Hargrove, Robert Earl Hillery, Grant Matthew Watson, Trent Michael Watson, James Jordan Earl, Deborah Katherine Earl, Helen Katherine Holloway and William Benoit Holloway; step-great-grandchildren, Vincent Gaziano, Claire Gaziano, Bianca Gaziano, Roberta Stumm, and Karl Hargrove.
