Johnie Lee Widemon, Jr. of Mount Vernon passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Mount Vernon, Texas.
A family led memorial will be held at a later date.
Johnie was born to Johnie Lee Widemon, Sr. and Clara Jane (Ferguson) Widemon in Dekalb, Bowie County, Texas on April 7, 1951.
He joined the United States Air Force and was in 1 Combat Evaluation Group, 1 CEVG Strategic Air Command, SAC United States Air Force. He was at Det 2 1CEVG, Holbrook, Arizona and was also at Det 24 Monkey Mountain in Vietnam.
Johnie collected Juke boxes and loved old cars.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnie Lee Widemon, Sr., two brothers, Anthony Wayne Widemon and Calvin Jackson Widemon.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Jane Widemon; sisters, Betty Moss, Linda Olds, Leta and Charlie Hall, Patricia and Robert Slone; brother, Dennis and Christy Widemon. Numerous extended family and friends.
Services are entrusted to Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.
