Joseph "Joe" Warner Obituary

What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.-Thucydides

Joseph Ray "Joe" Warner entered into his Heavenly Home on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on August 31, 1962, in Hobbs, New Mexico. His parents were Russell Joseph and Evelyn Mae (Sinclair) Warner, both preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sister Renee (Warner) Aikin and her husband David Aikin, his sister Virginia "Ginger" (Warner) Forbes and her husband Rodney Forbes; niece, Rachael (Aikin) Kittle, her husband Brad Kittle, and their children Sadie and Merritt Kittle; niece, Autumn Aikin and boyfriend Joseph Traino, and nephew Jimmie Forbes.

Joseph loved his Lord, his family, his friends, and the Dallas Cowboys, although the last one was a love/hate relationship. For much of his life, he was an avid coon hunter. He raised championship Bluetick hounds and delighted in following them through the woods on crisp nights. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, and served in several capacities there. Joseph gave his life to Jesus at the age of 10 and was a good and faithful servant for the rest of his life.

As his time grew short, his faith remained firm. He was assured of where he was going and who awaited him there. His Heavenly path was paved long ago.
