Joyce Neda Fountain

Joyce Neda Fountain, age 84, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her home.

A Come and Go Visitation will be on November 13, 2020 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The funeral Service will be on November 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Walter Lacy will be officiating.  Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ray English, Raymond Doss, James Allen Harris, Clemson Dunlap, Frederick Carrington and Billy Fountain.  Honorary Pallbearers are: Charles Office, Kendrick Hawkins, and Eric Stinson.  Interment will be at Denton Cemetery.

Joyce was born on March 9, 1936 to Dock and Opal (Templeton) Gadlin in Mount Vernon.  She married Tommy Fountain on March 15, 1958. Joyce was a nurse aide and worked at Mission Manor Nursing Home for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Cynthia English, Debra Kay Fountain and Joyce Fay Fountain; son, Ricky Wayne Fountain; brothers, Raymond Gadlin, Willie Gadlin, Jerry Gadlin and Roy Lee Gadlin.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tommy Fountain; son, Tommy Fountain, Jr. of Dallas, Texas.  A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Harris of Mount Vernon, TX, Reecie Dunlap of Killeen, TX, Jeanette Gadlin of Killeen, TX; Yvonne Gadlin of Dallas, TX; brothers, Dock Gadlin, Jr., Glendon Gadlin, Ray Charles Gadlin all brothers from Killeen, TX.
