Konnie Sue Mahaffey

Konnie Sue Mahaffey, age 72, of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home.

A memorial service will be held on January 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Abundant Grace Assembly of God Church in Mount Vernon, Texas.

Konnie was born on September 16, 1950 in Kermit, Texas to Charles Clayton and Betty Jane (Jennings) Deatherage.  She married Frank Mahaffey. Konnie was a member of Abundant Grace Assembly of God in Mount Vernon and loved going to church. She loved to cook and spending time with her family.  Konnie enjoyed working puzzles and playing chicken foot and other games. She had a servant’s heart and always doing things for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Konnie is survived by her ex-husband, Frank Mahaffey; son, Josh Mahaffey; grandchildren and their spouses, Kelsey and Andrew Cox, Christian Mahaffey, and Jacob Mahaffey; her great grandchildren, Ellie Mae Cox and Waylon Kade Cox; two sisters, Dianne and Donald Helms and Lynese and Richard Freeman; one brother, Chuck and Heather Deatherage.
