LaDonna Trawick Obituary

LaDonna Kay Trawick, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 unexpectedly in Montgomery, Alabama.

LaDonna was born to Cleo Dale and Betty JoAnn (Bartlett) Adams on February 24, 1959 in Lockney, Texas. She graduated from Wylie High School and went to college at Ozark Bible Institute and College in Neosho, Missouri.

LaDonna married David William Trawick on July 3, 1992 in Wylie, Texas. Together they pastored Talco Assembly of God for 3 years and Stuttgart Assembly of God for 10 months. LaDonna and David then began missionary ministry in San Luis Potosí, México for 7 years. Returning to the US in 2005, they pastored a Spanish congregation within the Savannah Holy Church of God for 3 years. In 2008, LaDonna and David returned to the mission field ministering in various Spanish speaking countries before settling in Roatán Island, Honduras in 2011. They established Lighthouse of Hope Church, Kid’s Hour Church 4 Children, Kid’s Kitchen of Hope, and other ministries. LaDonna’s burden was to see a church building constructed. Light In The Darkness Ministries intends to see this vision completed. 

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joe Dale Adams and her father-in-law, William “Bill” Trawick.

Survivors include her husband of twenty-nine years, David Trawick of Roatán Island Honduras; daughters, Tabitha Brianna Henry and her husband, Taylor of Roatán Island, Honduras and Lydia LaDawne French and her husband, Landen of Prattville, Alabama; granddaughter, Laikyn LaNae French; foster son, Santiago (Tito) Trawick of Roatán Island, Honduras; parents, Cleo and JoAnn Adams of Indian Gap, Texas; brother, Terry Ray Adams of Stephenvile, Texas; sister, Debra Fay Reynolds and husband, Scott of Ellsinore, Missouri; mother-in-law, Linda Trawick Thompson of Walla Walla, Washington; Sister-in-laws, Lois Clark of Pasco, Washington, Renee Gann of Sanger, Texas, and Kimberly Smith of McKinney, Texas. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends who mourn her passing.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Fairland Holiness Church in Fouke, Arkansas from 2:00-4:00 pm.   The funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 with Rev. Lloyd Shuecraft and Rev. Ryan Ralston officiating.  Pallbearers will be missionaries:  Scott Ennis - The Gambia, Mike Flowers - Mexico/Columbia, John Roberts - Panama, Jason Pennington - Honduras, Scott Sumner - Honduras, and Doug Presley - Germany. Internment will be at Fairland Cemetery.
