LaShuna Nicole Willis, age 46 passed away, Thursday, November 25, 2021 in Mt Pleasant, Texas.

She was born August 2,1975 to Joseph Willis III and Glenda (Brown) in Houston, Texas

LaShuna was a dedicated, loyal, hardworker and took care of everyone else. She was employed by Love's Truck Stop in Mt Vernon, Texas. LaShuna was very interesting. She was crazy and bossy one minute and loving and caring the next. To those who got the chance to know her, she was a hard worker. She went out of her way for those she loved. She always took care of everyone but herself. Crazy how things work out. She was one of the nicest, fun loving, sweet, giving, forgiving kind hearted person you will ever meet. Until we meet again, my angel.

Services are scheduled for Monday, December 6,2021 at 2:00 PM in the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.

LaShuna is survived by her mother; Glenda Brown of Mt. Vernon, Texas, formerly of Shreveport, LA,  her father; Joseph Willis III of San Francisco, CA. Her daughter, LaShonta Willis; sons, Isaiah Willis, Kintrell Grant. Two grandsons, Jeremiah and Ashton Willis, all formerly of Shreveport, LA. Brother, Hosea Edward Jr. of Shreveport, LA. Two sisters; Tamika Criswell of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Giovanna Willis of San Francisco, CA.

Numerous extended family.

Words from her daughter, I cried when you passed away, I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best.
