Larry Alton Coker, Sr. age 77 of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 9,2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Larry was born on September 6, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to Lawrence Alton Coker and Lovie Anita Lewis Coker.
He was a self-employed carpet layer for 50 plus years. He was a member of the American Legion. Larry loved the outdoors and being at the lake.
He is survived by his children, Larry A. Coker, Jr., Sky Marie Blanton, and Destiny Wallace; grandchildren, Brandon Russell, Joseph Wallace, Loriann Wallace, William Wallace, Draven Wyatt, Elizabeth Shaw, and Atreu Blanton, his siblings, Angela Davis, Melissa McQueen, Earnestine Philips; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Larry is preceded in death by his father; Lawrence Coker, his mother; Lovie Noble; step-father, Clois Noble; his siblings, Mitchell Cupp, Nelda Coker, Steve Coker, Deborah Coker, Peggy Morgan, Fay Spain, and Darlene Trainer; aunt, Peggy Birdwell; niece, Cheryl Cupp; nephew, Micky Cupp.
A family led memorial service will be held at a later date according to Larry’s wishes.
