Larry Stutts Obituary

Larry Wayne Stutts, age 65, of Talco, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Tyler, Texas.

Larry was born on December 4, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Chester Wayne and Carrie Nadine (Gill) Stutts.

Larry spent his younger years working for Koon Kreek Klub that fed his love for the outdoors before becoming a welder. He would later go on to retire as a chief inspector for the pipeline industry.

He married the love of his life, Donna Anding on October 24, 1980, in Athens, Texas, and they built a beautiful life and family of not only their own two children, but many others that call them Mom and Dad to this day.

After a lengthy battle with cancer which spurred on other health issues, Larry left his earthly body on the morning of his and Donna’s 44th wedding anniversary.

During his life, Larry’s passions for the outdoors were passed down to his children and most importantly his beloved grandchildren. Sharing any and all things hunting, fishing, and in his retired years, chickens and guinea fowl. Larry-Larro-PaPaw had a larger than life personality that had a bark as strong as a garlic milkshake, with a bite as strong as a teddy bear. He will forever be remembered by his signature phrase, “Ain’t nothin’ finer than a pipeliner.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Wayne Stutts; and brother-in-law, Dale Hammans.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Donna Stutts; children and their spouses, daughters, Randi and Woody Joiner, Daisy and Nicky Reynolds; son, Kyle and Maricar Stutts; grandchildren, Kade (Karah) Stutts, Landrie Joiner, Conner Reynolds, Carleigh Reynolds, Laramie Joiner, Kallen Stutts, Marley Stutts; mother, Carrie Stutts; sisters, Sonya Hammans and Cathy Stutts; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Kade Stutts, Connor Reynolds, Woody Joiner, Nicky Reynolds, Lonnie White, and Wayne Willingham.
