Larry Grant Whitney

Larry Grant Whitney, of Scroggins, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Larry was born on February 16, 1948, in Deport, Texas, to Henry and Opal (Mauldin) Whitney. He was married to Cathy Stinson.

He served in the United States Air Force and was proud of the time that he was a jet engine mechanic. Larry was a power plant supervisor and  planner for Luminant. He loved to spend his time fishing and going hunting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Opal Whitney.

Those left to forever cherish his memory will be: his wife, Cathy K. Wright; daughter, Kathy and Tom Carli; son, Mike and Stephanie Wright; grandchildren, Layton Wright, Laney Wright and Justin Whitney; brother, Tom and Joyce Posey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Sandy Stinson; nieces, Joy and David Harris, Courtney and Allan Brownie, and Kristen Stinson.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
