Leslie Samuel Petty, Jr., age 71, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Born in Temple, Texas, to Leslie Samuel Petty, Sr. and Carolyn Penny. He was married to Crystal Petty. Less spent his life as a hardworking equipment operator. He had a deep love for old western movies and found comfort in the quiet moments spent at home.

Less is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sharon Pastorino; and his cherished grandchildren, Mikayla Pastorino and Joshua Pember. His legacy of strength, simplicity, and love for family lives on through them.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Crystal Lyn Petty; his son, Leslie Samuel Petty III; and his parents, Leslie and Carolyn Petty.

Less will be remembered for his quiet nature, his loyalty, and the warmth he shared with those closest to him. His family finds comfort knowing he is now reunited with his loved ones who went before him.

A private service will be held by the family to honor his life.
