Linda Denise Burkett

Linda Denise Burkett, age 61, of Gholson, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Waco, Texas.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 10 AM - 12 PM at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.

Denise was born on October 6, 1959 to Leonard and Evelyn “Hankins” Massey in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She graduated from Saltillo High School in 1977. She married Ben Burkett on November 15, 2004.  She was a truck driver and traveled all over the United States. Denise loved nature, and the outdoors.  She had an amazing green thumb, but her favorite pass time was feeding and watching the birds. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Darrell Massey, Billy Mack Massey and Brother-in-law Mark Whitten.

Survivors include her husband, Ben Burkett of Gholson, Texas; son, Dustin Massey and his wife Rachel of Hubbard Tx; grandchildren, Hunter, Layla, and Lincoln; sister, Nancy Whitten of Sulphur Springs, Texas; mother-in-law, Carol Burkett of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
