Linda Lea Ginger of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 75.
Linda was born on June 21, 1950, in Ontario, Canada, to Donald Blake and Barbara Lois Blake. Over the course of her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication in every role she held. She worked in a dry cleaners, built a successful career as a real estate agent, and faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher in Florida. She later spent fourteen years as manager of Cypress Marina in Scroggins, where she was respected and appreciated by all who knew her.
Linda will be remembered as a kind and joyful person who brought light to those around her. She enjoyed baking, spending time with friends, and sharing laughter through her playful sense of humor and love of harmless pranks.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Johnston; husband, Philip Ginger; father, Donald Blake; mother, Barbara Lozinski; niece, Shanna Coker Place.
Linda is survived by her daughters that live in Canada, Cindy & Steve of Newfoundland, Debbie & Dave Craig of Oshawa, and Tamara & Rob Hoddinott of Oshawa; sisters, Kimberly Johnson, Debra Baldwin both of Mount Vernon, and Darlene & Charles Zimmerman of Corpus Christi, TX. 8 grandchildren including Breana Longhenry and Brandon Longhenry and 14 great grandchildren all of Canada.
Nieces, Georgette & Colton Vance of Mount Vernon, TX and Jennifer Disla of Corpus Christi, TX. Kelly Widdiefield & Kyle Widdefiled both of Canada.
Nephews, Robert & Nicole Robertson of Mount Vernon, TX, Steven Coker & Jordan Anderson of Mount Vernon, TX, Jason & Tiffany Coker of Paris, TX.
Great nephews, Mason and Luke Vance.
