Linda Kay Waters

Linda Kay (Prather) Waters age 73 of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Linda was born on June 29, 1951, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Roy Earl and Alice Marie (Jumper) Prather.

Linda was a feisty person who loved the outdoors, anything Indian culture, cats, collecting Beanie Babies. She was known for being independent and a strong-willed person. She liked to keep busy.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Jeremy Moss; her siblings, Tommy Prather, Mel Prather, Marvin Prather, Jeff Prather, and Edna Hopkins.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Jodi) Moss; grandchildren, Alexander Moss, Aaron Moss; her brother, Ron (Diana) Prather; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1 PM and the funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Pepper Puryear officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Joseph Duncan, Michael Frizzi, Zane Holliday, Terry Easley, Alex Moss, and Hunter Moss.
