Louise Mae (Beach) Broughton

Louise Mae Broughton, age 85, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home at 11:00 am. The visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00 am.

Louise was born on September 24, 1940, in Cripple Creek, Colorado, to Edgar Hughes and Catherine Louise (Friend) Beach.  She married Bobby Joe Broughton on July 27, 1957, in Farmington, New Mexico. Louise was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon and a member of Women Reaching Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bobby Broughton; parents, Edgar and Catherine Beach; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Lillian Broughton; sister-in-law,  Joyce Beach; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Charles Bader; and nephew, Troy Batt.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Bobby Jack and Alison Broughton, Brenda Sue Hamblin, Barry Deane and Carrie Broughton, Rebecca Lynn and Adam Sigler; Grandchildren, Casey (Alex) Hamblin, Danielle (Stanley) Mora, Colby Hamblin, Lexie Kelly, Derrick Broughton, Jaden Adamson, Kyra Adamsson, Levi Kelly, Ashton Sigler; great grandchildren, Deagan Thompson, Daxton Hamblin, Julian Mora, and Dawson Hamblin; brother, Ed Beach; sister, Mary Jo Batt; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
