Lynne Fuentes, age 83, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church – Mount Vernon and the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Pepper Puryear officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Callaway, Terrance Smith, John Davis, Jason Davis, Ray Fuentes, Taylor Fuentes, Alex Fuentes, Phillip Henderson, and Dalton Beene.
Lynne was born on August 12, 1938 to Emmitt Lewis and Carrie Blanche (Meazell) Tindell in Tool, Texas. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and attended a business college in Dallas.
She married Raymond Lee Fuentes, Sr. in 1955 and they were married for 60 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and involved in the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Her greatest joy was her family, friends and helping others.
Lynne was involved in the Chamber of Commerce in Duncanville and Mesquite. She was a member of the Rotary in Mesquite. She volunteered in numerous organizations while living in the metroplex. In 2008, she moved to Lake Cypress Springs in Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Fuentes, Sr.; son Raymond “Bubba” Lee Fuentes, Jr.
Survived by her daughters, Ramona Hyatt and husband James, Tonia Smith and husband Terry, Janie Davis and husband John. Grandchildren, Gene, Tiffani, Terrance, John, Jason, Ashlee, Ray, Audra, Jessyca, Taylor, Alex, and Justin. 22 great grandchildren; sister, Sharron Nichols and sisters-in-law Wanda Cruz and Darlene Fuentes. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
