Marlin Dale Blanton

Marlin Dale Blanton (aka Jellybean) went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Dale was born December 20, 1955 in Texarkana, Texas to Joe Walter Blanton and Lillie Faye Brown Blanton of Wake Village, Texas.  Dale married Kathy Swanson of Foreman, Arkansas on July 28, 1973.

Dale is survived by his wife, Kathy Blanton of 48 years of Big Sandy, TX.  He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Hollie Blanton of Leesburg, TX, Son, Adam Blanton of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Janie Blanton of Gilmer, TX. Son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Amanda Blanton of Fort Worth, TX.

Grandchildren: Grandson & Granddaughter-in-law, Tristen and Maddie Blanton of Fort Stewart, GA. Granddaughter, Kayla Moss of Leesburg. Granddaughter, Alyssa Blanton of Lone Oak, TX, Granddaughter, Lillie Jane Blanton of Gilmer, TX, Grandson, Jaxson Ryan Blanton of Gilmer, TX, Granddaughter, Melony Bradley of Fort Worth, TX, Granddaughter, Maci Kendall Blanton of Fort Worth, TX.

Great grandchildren: Great granddaughter, Brynndylynn Rose Blanton of Fort Stewart, GA, Great granddaughter, Rylee Grace Moss of Leesburg, TX, Great granddaughter, Adilynn Mae Blanton of Lone Oak, TX.

Dale is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Jerry Smith of Redwater, TX, Brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Blanton of Wake Village, TX, Brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lorene Beggs of Corsicana, TX,  Brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Theresa Beggs of Dekalb, TX, Sisters, Sheila Brewer and Juanella Freeman, Sister in laws, Dorie Beggs and Durrell Samuels.

Dale is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dale is preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe and Lillie Blanton and step father, Buddy Beggs; three brothers, Elvin Beggs, Aubrey Beggs and Magel Samuels and one sister, Teala Yandle

Dale was a member of Macon Baptist Church for 30 years and a deacon for the last 7 years.

Dale worked at the Luminant Power Plant for 40 years as a mechanic.

Visitation will be at Macon Baptist Church on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11:00 – 1:00 and the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 with Kevin Little and Randy Sinclair officiating. Serving as pallbearers James Murphy, Steve Alcorn, Kelly Hamilton, Larry Weeks, Wayne Woods, Bobby Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Thompson, Mike Lappin, Jerry Woodall, Julius Miller and Joe Thompson.
