Martha Lynn Hill

Martha Lynn “Countryman” Hill age 74 of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed on Thursday evening, May 2, 2024, at her home.

The Celebration of Life funeral service will be on  Monday, May 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Martha was born to Wilburn and Lena Countryman on October 6, 1949, in Dallas, Texas.

She worked for Dr. White. She loved her family, animals of all kinds, and enjoyed painting.

Martha married Sammy D. Hill on February 9, 2007, in Titus County, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Sammy D. Hill; her parents, Wilburn and Lena Countryman; great grandson, Axle James Stroud; brother, Glyndon Countryman; her grandparents, Joseph & Exie Burkhart.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Wanda "Sissy" Cooper of Scroggins; stepdaughter, Belinda Hill Teague and husband, Kurt Colvin; stepson, Jimmy and Stephanie Hill; grandchildren, Brittany Stroud, Dustin Stroud; great grandchildren, Lexie Stroud, Paisley Stroud, Rylan Stroud, James Lucas Stroud; brother, Ricky and Pam Countryman; and a sister in law, Betty Countryman, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
