Martha Earlyn Hood

Martha Earlyn (Finley) Hood, age 88 of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, formerly of Talco, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Earlyn was born on September 16,1937, to Charlie and Mary Etta (Stevens) Finley.

She married the love of her life, Jack Hood, on February 14, 1953.

Earlyn was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack; her parents, Charlie and Mary Etta Finley; her son and daughter in law, Jackie and Genie Hood; sisters, Mary Barbra Thetford, Litha Moss, Aretha Keefer; brothers, Charles Finley, and Ben Finley.

She is survived by her daughter and husband, Patricia and Bobby Ritchie; brothers, Bob Finley, David and Sharyn Finley; sisters, Peggy Meadows and Lottie Sue Coen; sister in law, Ann Finley; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church  with Pastor Tom Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Morgan, Jim Alston, Dustin Morgan, Jerome Aamodt, Clay Penny, Rayburn Ritchie, Brian Mackey and Jay Kitchens. Interment will follow the service at Providence Cemetery.
