Martha Jo Redburn, age 95, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Morris Nelms officiating. Interment will be at Stouts Creek in Saltillo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Steven Knight, Caleb Martin, Andrew Redburn, Nate Mizell, Christan Anderson, and Cole Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be David Fulmer, Jr., Cory Chronister and Curtis Chronister.
Martha was born on February 6, 1927 in Red River County, Texas to William Calvin and Vera Van Delia (Curlee) Putteet. She married Howard Hugh Redburn on May 2, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. Martha worked and retired from Proctor and Gamble as a warehouse worker. She loved to read, cook, garden and enjoyed church fellowships. Martha adored her family and loved spending time with each of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Redburn; daughters, Mary Virginia Fulmer and Clinta Helen Redburn; grandson, Larry Don Wallace; parents, William and Vera Putteet; brother, Robby Charles Putteet; sister, Virginia Janette Ward; and great nephew, Hayden Putteet.
Martha is survived by her children, Sandra Wells of Mt.Vernon, TX, Cindy Farrar of Saltillo, TX, Sara French of Hagansport, TX and Louise Gray of Rowlett, TX; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; brother and his wife, Jack and Barbara Putteet; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
