Martin Lionel McCormick

Martin Lionel McCormick, age 74, of Rowlett, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Mount Vernon, Texas.   

Visitation will be at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00. Pam Barnard will be officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Rockwall, Texas at 3:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers: Steven Stroman, Ray Green, Timothy Clark and Cody Peeples.

Martin was born on December 22, 1947 in Greenville, Texas to Martin Herman and Marjorie Ann (Neeland) McCormick. They both precede in death. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Martin enjoyed golfing, watching westerns like Gunsmoke, and loved his family. Martin was a mechanic and worked at auto dealerships in Rockwall and Plano.

Survivors include his daughters, Misty Peeples of Mount Vernon, TX, Melanie Clark of Garland, TX; son, Martin James McCormick and wife, Chelsy of Moore, OK and daughter, Marlea Hefner and husband, Clay of Pittsburg, TX. Grandchildren, Brittney Peeples, Cody Peeples, Timothy Clark, Travis Clark, Larissa Sherren, Presley McCormick, Hartley McCormick, Bracton McCormick, Malea Hefner, John Hefner, and Shane Hefner. Sister, Doris Jan McCormick Barrera of Homosassa, FL; brother, Vincent Gregory Edwards and wife Rita of Plano, TX and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
