Marvin Edward Eakin

Marvin Edward Eakin, of Hawkins, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, at the age of 77.

Marvin was born to Robert Lewis and Retta Lou (Moles) Eakin in Proctor, Texas, on June 15, 1947.

Marvin proudly served in the United States Navy and was a dedicated and skilled master electrician by trade.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hollowell-Eakin; his parents, Robert and Retta Eakin; and his step-mother, Bobbie Eakin.

Survivors include his siblings and their spouses, sister, Carol Jordan; brother, Dan and Denise Eakin; step-sister, Bobbie and Greg Dove; step-brothers, Neal and Dino Cox and Gary Cox; step-daughter, Monica and Ron Sommers; step-sons, Michael Truesdell and Jordan Seaver. 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who all will miss him dearly.

The family will have a family-led memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marvin’s name to Dierksen Hospice.
